San Antonio is known as Cyber City USA so it’s no surprise that Gabe is a Navy veteran with experience in aviation, radars and navigation. When it comes to indoor navigation, a common shortfall is how do you know where things are inside a building. As of right now, they are getting within 1.5 meters which is pretty darn close to accurate.
After completing a 16-week residency with the City of San Antonio, a homegrown startup is poised to make a bid to continue its work developing an app to help people find their way around the San Antonio International Airport. To CEO Gabe Garza, it was clear from the beginning that the City was committed to supporting innovation.
After 16 weeks of hard work, the first CivTechSA residency ended July 27 for two San Antonio startups. Kinetech Cloud and Reckon Point worked with the City of San Antonio’s Department of Human Services and the San Antonio International Airport respectively, devising solutions to their municipal challenges.

Local Startup Adds Sophistication to Wearable Devices
