Our robot, MIGSU, is our proprietary Mobile Indoor Geolocation Survey Unit. She uses a combination of cutting edge technology to capture and process different data sets from its surrounding environment. Using an automated platform ensures accuracy and speed of up to 5,000 square feet per hour.
MIGSU can capture LiDAR, magnetic, WiFi, and 360° image data while scanning indoors to provide quality geo-tagged data. Other sensors can also be integrated such as temperature, light, sound, humidity, etc..
As it relates in the the Scan-to-BIM process, MIGSU uses the latest 3D LiDAR technology in conjunction with an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) to accurately gather spatial data with millimeter precision using indoor survey scanning. Additionally, by using MIGSU to make detail field measurements, human error can be eliminated.
